A specialism being Construction Monitoring, the monitoring of construction work on site is critical to the achievement of quality and control of programme. Across the industry the use of Clerk of Works services has generally declined on private residential and commercial projects. However, the increasing use of large packaged subcontracts, overseen by main contracting staff who often have relatively little practical experience of the processes which they are managing, has made this an important and valuable role where a quality finish is required.

In addition, the increasingly commercial environment resulting from certain forms of procurement, has made the keeping of efficient and professional records key to the resolution of disputes.

PDM Consultants provides qualified Clerks of Works and former construction management professionals, to clients (under direction of the architects, or building surveyors), to provide thorough contract monitoring, which can be tailored to the particular requirements of the client and project.
